Who wants to be surrounded by flowers in Hyogo?
Awajishima (Awaji Island) has a special
place in Japanese history. According to Japanese mythology, it is the birthplace of Japan. This island is rich in tradition, culture and natural beauty. It also offers scenic views of a vast expanse of onion farms, flower fields, and sandy beaches. The island lies in the eastern part of the Seto Inland Sea between the main islands of Honshu and Shikoku.
Awaji Hanasajiki which is a huge flower garden, which occupies an area the size of 4 baseball stadiums, is one of the best flower viewing sites in Hyogo. It’s located on a hill, which offers visitors an amazing view of a vast expanse of colorful blooms set against the Osaka Bay in the background.

春分の日(Spring Equinox Day)
Shunbun is when the sun reaches the vernal equinox, and it's the day when day and night are of equal length. It is usually around March 21st , and it designated a national holiday.
It falls during the week of higan in Japan, which means "the next world for Buddhists".
Since this is believed to be when the spirits of ancestors return to this world, people visit their family graves, clean them, offer flowers and burn incense.
Thank you for your kind comments😺🙏💕
