We are all so different, and have such different needs all the time, which is why individual nutrition counseling is so so valuable. 🙌🏻 ANYWAY, just a little reminder to definitely use Instagram as a tool for tips and ideas, but never as a carbon copy meal plan (for specific advice, see a dietitian)! Whole30 Day 13: Ginger “soy” steak salad. Inspired by @thepioneerwoman 
Step 1: dressing: 1/4 cup coconut aminos, 1/4 olive oil, minced jalapeño, 2 teaspoons lime juice, 2 cloves minced garlic, salt, pepper, white wine vinegar 
Step 2: marinate two ribeyes in half the dressing for 4 hours or just pour over it 30 mins before if you’re lazy like me
Step 3: heat a pan on high, place steaks - 3 mins on each side, turn down to medium for 5 mins and it should be MR - or just do it however you like your steak cooked 
Step 4: place halved grape tomatoes in the dressing and let sit for like 15 mins

Ground venison courtesy of Tommy’s Dad, leftover ground pork from failed egg ‘muffins’ (not a full out fail, I just didn’t love them), ground turkey, veggies, tomatoes, and seasonings. Whole30 day 4 down, and I feel really freaking great. Habits are already changing, I eat at mealtime, no sideline picking (or eating Chase’s leftovers), no snacking. So far, so good. .

 Vegan Chocolate Chip Cookies 
#
Ingredients 
# 
1 cup almond butter 
1/4 cup organic maple syrup or agave 
1 egg 
1/2 tsp baking soda 
1/2 tsp organic vanilla extract 
1/2 tsp sea salt 
1/4 cup vegan chocolate chips

Directions
#
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees 
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper 
3. Whisk together the almond butter, maple syrup or agave, the egg, baking soda, vanilla extract, and sea salt until a smooth batter forms. 
4. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly through the batter. 
5. Drop 1.5 tbsp of batter per cookie onto the parchment paper, spaced out 1.25 inches apart. 
6. Bake for 10 minutes. If you want them a little more crispier, leave them in a little longer but watch them. Sprinkle with sea salt. Enjoy!!

This is definitely out of my comfort zone to post something this exposing. Vulnerability scares me so I tend to avoid it, but I’m realizing more than ever lately that there are people who need to hear my tough stories. Sometimes I might need to get a little uncomfortable and forget my insecurities so that others can feel comforted and fearless. Jesus can use your stories to bring someone healing. 
My hope is that this post encourages you! 
There’s far more than a 35lbs difference in these pictures. The girl on the left hated looking in the mirror, was moody and just simply going through the motions, and the farthest from being “myself” as I had ever been. The girl on the right is slowly starting to appreciate again that she is fearfully and wonderfully made, her health is worth the sacrifice, and is more herself than ever. 
Break the bad habits. If food has power over you, the chains can be broken. If your body image has power over you, the chains can be broken. Nothing/no one should have power over you except the Lord.

Salmon cakes con mayonesa casera (con cilantro y limón)! Uno de los retos más grandes de #whole30 es que muchas cosas las tienes que preparar tu mismo, como por ejemplo mayonesa, salsa de barbacoa, etc. La mayonesa que se vende en el super es a base de aceite de soya y tiene azúcar! Prepararla en casa es sencillo y queda deliciosa! 
Coloca en el procesador 1/4 tz de aceite de oliva (alguno de sabor suave; no extra virgen), 1 huevo, 1/2 cdita de polvo de mostaza y 1/2 cdita de sal. Bate hasta incorporarlo todo. Luego agrega poco a poco 1 taza adicional de aceite de oliva. Cuando este bien cremosa, agrega a mano el jugo de 1/2 limón 💥
OJO- los ingredientes deben estar todos a temperatura ambiente para que se incorporen bien!

Ground turkey soup/stew/chili/whatever ya wanna call it 😋 this was so easy, quick, and the ingredients were not expensive at all!!!
•Ingredients:
- lean ground turkey
- 1 zucchini and 1 squash
- 1 bell pepper any color
- 1 can of diced tomatoes
- 1 can of stewed tomatoes
- Italian seasonings
- optional: cauliflower rice
•directions:
- Brown the turkey in a large skillet
- add squash, zucchini, bell pep and stir until all cooked
- add canned tomatoes
- top with cauli rice and you’re done!

I was amazed at how STRONG I felt during my run! I did have a hungry tummy but the lack of carbs did not hinder my performance. Side effects still include headaches and some crazy (sorry @kirshma4 😘) but heading into day 5 feeling optimistic!

Guinea pigs 🐷 have tested & approved these dishes! 😁 I ate this for 3 of my meals because, well, I loved it. 1.5 c stock (I used homemade)
1 quart home canned tomatoes (could substitute can of diced)
1 c diced bell peppers
1/2 onion diced
2 cloves garlic 
2 tsp chili powder
1-2 c shredded chicken

20 min in tupp microwave pressure cooker. (Could be put in an instant pot) 
Serve with cilantro, micro greens, fresh squeezed lime (don’t skip!) and avocado
