Estoy impactado y triste ante los terribles hechos que ha hecho públicos mi querida amiga Salma Hayek sobre el productor Harvey Weinstein. Su integridad, su honestidad como mujer y como profesional me hacen dar absoluto crédito a sus palabras.
I'm deeply saddened by the terrible events that my dear friend Salma Hayek has made public about Harvey #Weinstein. Her integrity and honesty as a woman and as an actress make me firmly trust her words.
“What the fuck I tell you about talkin’ HUH? I’ll bust you in the mouth right in front ah these people- I DON’T GIVE A FUCK!” So obviously #KurtRussell’s#1 performance is and always will be that of #CaptainRon , but his role of John Ruth in ‘Hateful Eight’ easily took the #2 spot from #WyattEarp in #Tombstone , in my personal rankings lol.. Started watching it last night on Netflix and I made it about halfway through before crashing out, but what an awesome cast and hilarious movie.. maybe #Weinstein’s not ALL bad.. 😆😆😆 #Tarantino#HatefulEight
From this week’s @fullfrontalsamb : the Seven Dwarves as retold by the Weinstein Company
Ive never in my life watched a #woodyallen movie because HE MARRIED HIS STEP-DAUGHTER!! I’ve always been baffled at how he has maintained a career, being a sexual predator and all. Well Woody...#timesup ! And #alecbaldwin here’s the deal: I will no longer watch anything you do. Defending this man, #weinstein I’m done supporting you, as well. So listen up #abc#matchgame and #snl if he’s on, I’m not watching. I don’t care how funny he is! His response is just as bad as “there are good people on both sides” #fuckallthat#timesup#metoo
Regranned from entertainmentninfo - Man Slaps Harvey Weinstein Twice in the Face at Arizona Restaurant #FACTS Some guy only identified as “Steve” told TMZ that he got drunk at a restaurant in Arizona, saw that #HarveyWeinstein was eating there, and decided to punch the disgraced movie mogul twice in the face.
According to Steve, Weinstein was eating at an upscale restaurant in #Scottsdale with his sober coach when he got up to leave around 9 p.m.
Steve, who told TMZ he had “quite a bit to drink,” approached Weinstein and apparently told him “You’re such a piece of shit for what you did to these women,” before punching him twice in the face. Steve said the punch made Weinstein stumble back and almost fall.
Now, as it turns out Steve might not be the most reliable source. A restaurant manager disputed a number of his claims, and told TMZ “neither attempted punch connected,” and Steve was “drunk and out of control.” Well for our benefit, #TMZ has now released video of the attack, and it looks like the truth lies somewhere in the middle.
As seen in the video above, as Weinstein exits the #restaurant our protagonist — or antagonist, I can’t really tell if Steve is a hero or a douchebag — delivers two light slaps to #Weinstein face.
Weinstein recoils, a little stunned, and Steve commands: “Get your fucking ass out of here man, you’re a fucking piece of shit.” The sober coach then exchanges a few words with the cameraman, before leaving. #NINFONETWORK#ENTERTAINMENTNINFO#FOODNINFO#VEHICLENINFO#BUZZFEED#HUFFPOSTGRAM#CELEBRITIES#ENEWS#VANITYFAIR#NYC#LA#LONDON#BBC#DAILYMAIL#OKMAGAZINE#USWEEKLY#THESHADEROOM#MTO#HOLLYWOOD#GOLDENGLOBES#OMAGAZINE#PEOPLE#TIMES#COSMOPOLITAN
Regranned from entertainmentninfo - Petition to remove Matt Damon from ‘Ocean’s 8’ picks up speed #FACTS DEC. 22, 2017. “Ocean’s 8” could have one less famous face if petitioners have their way.
An online petition to remove #MattDamon from the female-centered “Ocean’s 8” after his controversial comments about #sexualharassment and assault in the industry has reached more than 18,000 signatures — just shy of its “goal” of 19,000. “Damon's inclusion would trivialize the serious nature of the charges against sexual abusers like #Weinstein — a show massive disrespect for the brave women speaking out. It would also send a terrible message about the inevitability of — and lack of accountability for — sexual harassment in the workplace that four in ten American women experience,” the petition read.
Damon faced serious criticism after an interview with #ABCNews in which he proved he does not understand the #MeToo movement.
The “ #JasonBourne ” star defended Louis C.K. and tried to say that some harassment is worse than other harassment. “There's a difference between, you know, patting someone on the butt and rape or child molestation, right?" Damon said in a new interview with ABC News' #PeterTravers "Both of those behaviors need to be confronted and eradicated without question, but they shouldn't be conflated, right?” the 47-year-old said in the interview, which was quickly condemned as tone-deaf.
The actor further put his foot in his mouth when he gave another interview to #BusinessInsider in which he said he would work with accused harassers depending on the story. He worked with #HarveyWeinstein in the past, including on his breakout movie “Good Will Hunting” with pal #BenAffleck “ #Oceans8 ” is a spin-off to “the “ #Oceans11 ” franchise, which starred Damon.
The new flick features #Rihanna#SandraBullock#CateBlanchett#AnneHathaway#HelenaBonhamCarter and #MindyKaling
Damon’s cameo in the upcoming #film due out in June, has been highly publicized. #NINFONETWORK#ENTERTAINMENTNINFO#FOODNINFO#VEHICLENINFO#BUZZFEED#HUFFPOSTGRAM#ENEWS#OMAGAZINE#LA#NYC
I wanted to share one of those mind-bending moments in life that cause us to pause and question whether we are perhaps dreaming, or on the receiving end of some grand and complex cosmic narrative.
I was in Vons in West Lafayette the other day to see if anything was worth spending a gift card on. My book “The Remote Generation” sits on the first end cap when you walk in, primarily amongst other local authors. On this day, there was a book sitting on the shelf above mine with its cover showing. The book was titled “Mind Unmasked: A Political Phenomenology of Consciousness,” and was co-written by Dr. Michael Weinstein. Dr. Weinstein passed away in 2015, but in 2005 and 2006, he was changing my life. In profound ways.
While I was attending Purdue’s Political Science program, I had Weinstein as a professor on two occasions. Once for a 200 level introductory type course, and again for my senior seminar. While my love of politics ran deep, it was two political science professors that led me to my next passion. Philosophy.
After class, I would often stand outside with Weinstein and pick his brain. As this new world of philosophy began unfolding, he served as a capable and patient guide. I will never forget asking him what “existential despair” entailed, or his ensuing reaction as I worked through definitions specific to my experience.
To see a book that shared his authorship on a shelf above mine was surreal. The paths that my exposure to him took me down led to many of the traits that are still my most apparent ones. He shaped and changed the way I think. The way I read. The way I speak. His impact on my life was and is immeasurable.
He once gave me a nickname. I don’t wish to retell the story here or now, but the circumstances by which he inadvertently threw the label on me are as important to me as the title itself. Laughing hysterically before an entire class of students, Dr. Michael Weinstein pointed at me and proclaimed, “The Great Midwest Skeptic!” I adored this man and that description so much, that over the years it found itself not only embroidered on a sock hat I wore to rags, but it also served as my username on many websites and internet accounts.
